Dr. Evandro Barbosa da Silva earned his Bachelors degree in Environmental Management from the University of São Paulo in 2010 and his Masters degree in Soils and Plant Nutrition from the same institution in 2013. He received his Ph.D. in 2018 from the Department of Soil and Water Sciences at the University of Florida. His doctoral dissertation, entitled Phytoremediation of arsenic-contaminated soils by Pteris vittata: arsenic removal and biomass disposal, focused on the remediation of arsenic-contaminated soils using phytoremediation techniques.Dr. da Silva has a strong scientific background, with more than 3,630 citations and an H-index of 23, demonstrating significant academic impact in the environmental sciences. His main research and professional interests include soil contamination and remediation, phytoremediation, heavy metals, arsenic, and persistent organic pollutants (PCBs). In addition, he has professional and technical interests in Environmental Health Safety (EHS) within industrial environments, as well as in electronics manufacturing quality and compliance, with particular emphasis on IPC-A-610 Acceptability of Electronics Assemblies, integrating environmental, safety, and quality requirements into manufacturing operations.
