Thiago Salas Gomes

Master's degree in Sonology from the School of Communications and Arts of the University of São Paulo [ECA-USP] and a degree in Music from the Federal University of São Carlos [UFSCar]. He has technical training in Mechanics and Electronics from SENAI-SP. He developed academic activities on the practice of Experimental Electronic Luthiery and the relationship between gesture and technology at the Laboratory for the Construction of Musical Instruments of the Department of Arts and Communication of UFSCar. He is a member of the Center for Sonology Studies at ECA-USP. He taught and developed pedagogical material in the areas of Interpretive Practice, Language and Musical Structuring, and Musical Perception at the Leopoldo Miguez Music Conservatory. He has given courses, workshops, and lectures on music and digital culture, creation of electronic instruments, transmídia art, performance, and technologies, at several national and international institutions. He has worked with several dance and theater companies composing soundtracks and musical direction. He is a member of the research and artistic creation project APT.LAB where he develops critical reflection on the implications of current technologies on gesture. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
