Nelson Marcio Gomes Caserta

Graduated in Medicine from the State University of Campinas (1976) and Ph.D. in Medical Sciences from the State University of Campinas (1993). He is currently Associate Professor Reference = MS5.1 of the Department of Radiology, Faculty of Medical Sciences, Universidade Estadual de Campinas. Member of the Teaching, Improvement and Medical Residency Committee of Colégio Brasileiro de Radiologia in the biennium 2017/2018. He is a member of the Scientific Committee of the São Paulo Society of Radiology, National Representative of ESGAR European Society of Gastrointestinal and Abdominal Radiology, in Brazil, since 2014 and elected Vice-President of the SPR (São Paulo Society of Radiology) for the 2021/2023 biennium. Member of the Editorial Board of ?Radiology Brasileira?, scientific journal of the Colégio Brasileiro de Radiologia. Reviewer member of EPOS (Electronic Presentation Online System) of the ESR European Society of Radiology, for the European Congress of Radiology, annually, since 2013. Reviewer of the Revista da Associação Médica Brasileira RAMB and, of the journal Abdominal Radiology. Organized and coordinates the Extension Program of Training in Diagnostic Imaging Service in Internal Medicine of the Department of Radiology at FCM-Unicamp. Coordinates annually the Radiology Residents Meeting in Brazil and Argentina. He received the Flamboyant Urology Award, in 2013, the Scientific Outstanding Gold Medal Award conferred by the Brazilian College of Radiology and Diagnostic Imaging, in 2013, the CAPES Thesis Award 2017 Edition, and was appointed Honorary President of the 47th Jornada Paulista de Radiologia in 2017 for the dedication to the continued learning of Radiology.
