Holding a BDS degree from the Dental School of University of Sao Paulo (USP), Brazil, Tathyane has obtained her PhD degree in Oral Diagnosis in the Department of Oral Medicine of the same institution, with active participation in the Oral Medicine outpatient service in Hospital das Clínicas in Sao Paulo and in the diagnostic service in the department of Oral Pathology at USP for seven years. Currently holds a Post-doctoral Fellow position at the Department of Stomatology at USP, investigating the innervation during the development of salivary glands. Since 2013 she has been performing important research collaboration at the Dental Institute of King's College London, UK, as visiting PhD student funded by CNPq and also as visiting Post-Doc Fellow funded by FAPESP. Particularly interested in salivary glands, her main research focus at the moment is on development and regeneration of human and murine salivary glands. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
