Currently working as Animal Welfare Scientist at Four Paws International, a NGO commited to improve animal welfare (including domestic, farmed, and wild animals) globally. Dr. Thainá is commited to contribute to a better world, benefiting the health and wellbeing of people, animals and the environment and she is motivated by always doing her best to help. She is Brazilian, lived in the United States during her PhD and work, and now currently lives in Vienna/Austria. She is a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine, completed in the Faculdade de Medicina Veterinária da UNESP - Campus de Araçatuba. She has a Master's in Animal Science from the same institutiton. PhD in Poultry Science obtained at the Center of Excellence for Poultry Science/John Kirkpatrick Skeeles Poultry Health Laboratory/University of Arkansas, Fayetteville/Arkansas/United States. She worked as Assistant Professor and Poultry Health Extension Specialist at the Animal Science Department/Center for Food Animal Health, the Ohio State University, Wooster/Ohio/United States. She worked with a diverse range of topics, including epidemiology and public health, avian infectious diseases, nutrition, husbandry of poultry, and quality and inspection within processing plants.She has experience with research, writing, communication and project management.
