Marina Soler Jorge is a sociologist and full professor in the Department of Art History at Unifesp's School of Philosophy, Letters and Human Sciences and in Unifesp's Postgraduate Program in Art History. She studied Sociology and Political Science at Unicamp, holds a Master's degree in Sociology from Unicamp and a PhD in Sociology from USP. She has published work in the areas of sociology of art and female representations in contemporary audiovisuals. She is the author of the books Cultura Popular no Cinema Brasileiro dos Anos 90 (2010) and Lula no Documentário Brasileiro (2011), as well as articles on reception, cinema, television and feminism and the sociology of art. Recently, she has been focusing on Chinese TV dramas. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
