He has published/has more than 150 articles in journals indexed in international and specialized databases. He is a toxicologist and works in the area of environmental toxicology and agricultural inputs, impacts on water quality, metabolomics and proteomics, with an emphasis on analysis of cyanotoxins, peptides, natural products from cyanobacteria and microalgae. He also investigates drug compounding, biological and biopharmaceutical products. He has experience in the quality and potability of water for human consumption and partnerships with water and wastewater treatment plants (WTPs and WWTPs). He is an associate researcher at the Center for Carbon Research in Tropical Agriculture (CCarbon), one of the Research, Innovation and Dissemination Centers (CEPID) supported by FAPESP. It works in partnership with the company Spektra Scientific-Regulatory Solutions in the application of toxicology to control cross-contamination in Pharmaceutical Industries using calculation of permitted daily exposure (PDE - Permitted Daily Exposure) and use of in silico tools as an alternative method to the use of animals for the toxicological prediction of agricultural products, their handling products and metabolites. He coordinates projects in the areas of environmental toxicology and ecotoxicology, natural products from microorganisms, mass spectrometry, toxicity of agricultural products, and water quality in reservoirs, WTPs and WWTPs.
