João Moreira's professional experience encompasses Synthetic Aperture Radars (SAR) including end-to-end system design and analysis, construction of airborne and spaceborne SAR systems, development of new motion compensation methods, MTI and SAR interferometry, construction of SAR processors and development of new methods for automatically generating topographic maps from SAR data. Current research activities include the design of high-resolution interferometric SAR systems with polarimetric capability and new algorithms for subsurface tomography. He has more than 200 articles published in conferences and magazines and more than 50 patents in the USA, Canada, Germany, France, Sweden, Japan and Brazil. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
