Electrical Engineer from EESC-USP, Brazil, 1987, Master in Applied Physics from IFSC-USP, Brazil, 1991 and Ph.D. Electronics Computer Science - University of Southampton, UK, 1995. He was a recent PhD professor at ICMC-USP, 1996-97, founding partner of SV Consultoria, 1997-2004, where he worked with RFID / contactless smart cards (NFC) for corporate electronic ticketing access control solutions for public transport. In 2005, he completed a Post Doctoral internship at the University of Southampton, in the area of #8203;#8203;pervasive computing, ubiquitous computing, sensor networks and IoT, applied to Supply-Chain solutions based on RFID/EPC and IoT. Worked as a CTO in a Brazilian Company, working mainly in the development and implementation of IoT / RFID platforms for RFID / EPC-based smart supply chains. Specialist in Traceability and Visibility solutions for products and materials based on EPC/RFID and IoT solutions for the supply chain. He is currently Prof. Dr. in Computer Engineering at UFSCar.
