Graduated in Mechanical Engineering from the São Paulo State University Júlio de Mesquita Filho - UNESP (1996), with a Master's degree in Industrial Engineering from UNESP (2000), and a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from EESC- São Carlos, University of São Paulo - USP (2004). Sandwich PhD at the Institute of Machine Tools and Production Engineering (WZL), RWTH-Aachen University (2004), Aachen, Germany. Post-Doctorate in Mechanical Engineering (2006) by Worcester Polytechnic Institute WPI Worcester, USA, developing research activities for the development of abrasive product testing and process monitoring in the Grinding Technologies group of Saint-Gobain High-Performance Materials RD in Massachusetts, USA (2005-2006). Associate Professor at the University of São Paulo USP, Department of Production Engineering SEP, School of Engineering of São Carlos-EESC. Researcher at the Nucleus of Advanced Manufacturing NUMA, and Laboratory for Advanced Processes and Sustainability LAPRAS. Associate member of the International Academy for Production Engineering-CIRP- Paris, France and vice-chair of the Council of the Technical Scientific Committee on Abrasive Processes (STC-G) - CIRP. Member of the Brazilian Association of Engineering and Mechanical Sciences - ABCM. The main research areas are: manufacturing, machining, precision grinding, sustainability, additive manufacturing, monitoring and supervision of machining and machine tool processes.
