Dr. Foresto-Neto holds a degree in Biological Sciences from the Mackenzie Presbyterian University, scientific initiation in Renal Pathophysiology from the Faculty of Medicine at the University of São Paulo (Supervisor: Dr. Clarice Kazue Fujihara), and a PhD in Nephrology from the Faculty of Medicine at the University of São Paulo (Supervisor: Prof. Dr. Roberto Zatz), with an internship period in Munich, Germany, at the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München (Supervisor: Prof. Dr. Hans-Joachim Anders). He completed his postdoctoral research at the Institute of Biomedical Sciences at the University of São Paulo (Supervisor: Prof. Dr. Niels Olsen Saraiva Câmara), and at Mayo Clinic, in Rochester, MN, USA (Mentor: Prof. Dr. Michael F. Romero). Received a Level 5 Technical Training Fellowship (FAPESP) at the Department of Immunology, Institute of Biomedical Sciences, University of São Paulo, for the implementation of a confocal microscopy system. Currently serves as a FAPESP Young Investigator at the Division of Nephrology, Department of Medicine, Federal University of São Paulo; as a Collaborating Researcher at Mayo Clinic (Rochester, MN, USA); and as an Early Career Editor Fellow for the American Journal of Physiology-Renal Physiology.
