Universidade de São Paulo (USP). Instituto de Química de São Carlos (IQSC)  (Institutional affiliation from the last research proposal)
Birthplace: Brazil

Graduated in Physics-Bachelors Degree (2007) from the Federal University of Santa Maria (UFSM), earned a Masters Degree in Physics (2009) and a Ph.D. in Physics (2012) from the Graduate Program in Physics (PPGFis) at the same institution. Completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the Institute of Chemistry of São Carlos (IQSC-USP). Currently, he is a Professor in the Department of Physics at the Institute of Physics and Mathematics of the Federal University of Pelotas (UFPel). He has extensive experience in teaching, academic supervision, and scientific research, focusing on Condensed Matter Physics, with an emphasis on first-principles calculations, electronic structure analysis, and computational methods applied to theoretical physics, chemistry, and materials science. His research focuses on the development and application of advanced materials for nanocatalysis, solar energy harvesting, optoelectronic and thermoelectric devices, molecular recognition, and adsorption processes. He is particularly dedicated to the study of sustainable materials, such as metallic nanoclusters, 2D materials, and perovskites, with an emphasis on understanding the interactions between combined nanomaterials.
