Concluded Undergrad studies in Physics in 2010. Has experience in Astronomy since 2008, focusing on Stellar Astrophysics and spectrophotometric distances of Galactic HII Regions. Actually is a PhD student in Astronomy at IAG-USP and a guest student at Max Planck Institute for Radio Astronomy (Germany). His actual project is related to massive stars formation. Has worked as Research Assistant on the commissioning of FLAMINGOS-2, a new multi-object spectrometer at Gemini South Observatory (Chile). Has acted on Biochemistry area from 2007 to 2008, acted on the following subjects: ROS generation, mitochondria and free radicals. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
High-mass stars play a significant role on the evolution of the Universe and the process that leads to the formation of such objects is still an opened problem in Astrophysics. The details of the structures connected to the central sources, such as the circumstellar disks and the morphology of the jets at their launching points, still lack of observational evidences. We plan to estimate ...
We plan to test two scenarios of massive star formation -- disc accretion or coalescence of low mass stars -- from observations of massive young stellar objects (MYSOs). The first step was to identify those high mass objects ($> 8\,$M$_\odot$) that are associated with bipolar outflows. That was completed with a complete all-sky survey, which is the Master's project of the candidate. The...
We plan to test two scenarios of massive star formation -- disc accretion or coalescence of low mass stars -- from observations of massive young stellar objects (MYSOs). The first step is to identify those high mass objects (M> 8 MSun) that are associated with near-infrared outflows. The second step, consists on the measurement of the parameters of the outflows at their launching point...
