José Ramon Trindade Pires has a Ph.D. at the Institute of Computing, University of Campinas (UNICAMP). He received his Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science at the State University of Southwest of Bahia (UESB) in 2010. He obtained a Master's Degree in Computer Science at the UNICAMP in 2013. He works in Computer Science and is interested in issues related to Machine Learning for Complex Data, Pattern Analysis, Computer Vision and Natural Language Processing. He performed publications in international conferences as well as in scientific journals which are leaders in the biomedical field. Additionally, he contributed to research in Computer Forensics. He was awarded twice with the Google Research Award for Latin America (2016 and 2017), 3rd best MSc thesis (2014) and 1st best Ph.D. thesis (2019) by the Brazilian Computer Society.
