Alexandre Saul holds a Ph.D. in Education: Curriculum from the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo (PUC-SP), where his research focused on curriculum policies and practices and teacher education. He is a professor-researcher and Coordinator of the Graduate Program in Education (Master's and Doctorate) at the Catholic University of Santos (UniSantos). He has coordinated the Paulo Freire Chair at UniSantos since 2018 and was a full member of the Teaching, Research, and Extension Council at the same institution from 2017 to 2023. He served as Vice-Coordinator of FORPREd Southeast (2023-2024) and was part of the Board of Directors of the Brazilian Curriculum Association (ABdC) as 2nd Vice President and Publications Coordinator (2023-2025). He is a member of the Freirean Researchers Network (facebook.com/redefreireana/), the Research Group "Paulo Freire's thought in Brazilian education" at PUC-SP, the Collaborative Action Research Network (CARN), and ANPEd's GT12 Curriculum. At the Catholic University of Santos, he leads the Research Group "Curriculum and teacher education: dialogue, knowledge, and social justice" (DGP/CNPq). His experience lies in the field of Education, with a focus on: Paulo Freire's thought, Curriculum, Teacher Education, Educational Policies, and Youth and Adult Education.
