PhD in Zoology from São Paulo State University (UNESP), Rio Claro, with a fellowship at The University of Western Australia, as an Endeavor scholar of the Australian government. Master's degree in Aquaculture and Fisheries from the São Paulo Fisheries Institute in 2014 and a Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences from the Institute of Biosciences of Botucatu, UNESP, with an exchange program at the University of New Brunswick in Canada. Completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the Federal University of São Paulo in the Alcatrazes Sea project - Monitoring of Invertebrates, Fish, and Abiotic Factors in the Alcatrazes Archipelago (2021 to 2024). Currently a postdoctoral fellow in the Reef Biology Laboratory at the Oceanographic Institute of the University of São Paulo, funded by FAPESP. Has experience in the field of ecology and conservation of marine ecosystems, with an emphasis on managing marine protected areas and using videos and photogrammetry for fish ecology studies. In 2024, she was selected by the Brazilian Ministry of Science, Technology, and Innovation and the Brazilian Academy of Sciences to represent Brazil at the BRICS Young Scientists Forum in Sochi, Russia. https://fernandarolim.weebly.com/ (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
