Eduardo Seiji Yamamoto

Formally trained in Biological Sciences at São Paulo State University (UNESP), Institute of Biosciences São Vicente Campus (2015). Earned an M.Sc. in Experimental Pathophysiology from the University of São Paulo Medical School (FMUSP) (2019). Has experience in Parasitology, with an emphasis on Parasitic Protozoology, working primarily on alternative therapeutic approaches using synthetic and natural compounds for New World leishmaniasis, including drug repurposing strategies. Completed a postgraduate specialization in Clinical Microbiology at the Sociedade Beneficente Israelita Brasileira Albert Einstein (SBIBAE) (2020). Currently works at SBIBAE in the hospitals support laboratories unit for high-complexity referred-out (send-out) testing, focusing on sample coordination, result consistency review, and patient result release.
