Bachelor of Science (Biological Sciences) and Teaching Licensed (Biological Sciences), both taken at Universidade de São Paulo (USP) in 2002 and 2003, respectively. Master in Science degree (Zoology/Ichthyology) and PhD (Zoology/Ichthyology), also both from USP, in 2005 and 2010, respectively. Postdoctoral researcher at USP and the Natural History Museum, London between 2010-2013. Professor at the Departamento de Biologia (DBio-So) of the Universidade Federal de São Carlos (UFSCar) - Sorocaba.
