Holds a maîtrise in French as a Foreign Language from Université Stendhal - Grenoble III (2000), a bachelor's degree in Linguistic and Literary Studies in English from the University of São Paulo (2009), a master's degree in Linguistic and Literary Studies in English from the University of São Paulo (2006), a Ph.D. in Linguistic and Literary Studies in English from the University of São Paulo (2012), and a postdoctoral degree in Literary Theory from the State University of Campinas (2013). Has experience in the field of Languages and Literature, with an emphasis on Modern Foreign Languages and Literatures, working mainly on the following topics: English- and French-language literatures, novel studies (18th and 19th centuries), literary relations between England and France, and the relationship between literature and history. Currently a professor at the Département Langues et Cultures at Université Toulouse Capitole, in France.
