Marcos Sorrilha Pinheiro holds a Ph.D. in History from Universidade Estadual Paulista (UNESP), Franca campus (2009). He completed a postdoctoral fellowship at George Washington University (GWU), United States, funded by FAPESP (20162017). He runs a YouTube channel, Canal do Sorrilha, dedicated to historical and scientific dissemination about the United States (since 2020), and leads the research group IPA Intelectuais e Política nas Américas, which has produced the IPACast since 2020. This podcast is focused on scientific outreach, featuring spoken reviews of scholarly articles about the American continent, created by students and based on publications in peer-reviewed humanities journals.
