Eduardo Delgado Assad

Eduardo Delgado Assad is graduate in Agricultural Engineering in 1979 from the Viçosa Federal University. Has a Masters and PhD in Montpellier, France, completed in 1987. He worked in the laboratories of INRA Avignon and Montpellier CIRAD in France. He specialized in remote sensing at CNES (Centre National d'Etudes Spatiales) in Toulouse, in 1982. He is Embrapa researcher since 1987 working initially in Agricultural Research Cerrado Center (CPAC), where he created the Laboratory of Environmental Biophysics. He was coordinator of the Area of Natural Resources EMBRAPA Cerrado, Executive Secretary of the Natural Resources Program at EMBRAPA and head of Research and Development EMBRAPA Cerrado. During the period 1993 to 2006 was the technical coordinator of the National Agricultural Zoning Climate Risk, from Ministry of Agriculture, during which time he created and coordinated a national network of agrometerorologia. Coordinated several projects on national climate and agriculture network and was Head of Embrapa Information Technology in the period from 2005 to 2009. Coordinates projects in the area of climate change and its impacts on agriculture. Currently, coordinates the climate and agriculture network of MCT & I. He is a member of the scientific committee of the Brazilian Panel of Clamate ChangeChanges . In 2011 was Secretary of Climate Change and Environmental Quality of the Ministry of Environment.
