Birthplace: Brazil

I am a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of History and Civilization at the European University Institute (EUI). I completed my Master's in the Social History Postgraduate Program at the University of São Paulo, where I also earned my Bachelor's degree. My research experience focuses on the history of early modern Catholic missions in West Central Africa, specifically the Jesuit missions in Congo and Angola during the 16th and 17th centuries. In addition, I have a keen interest in the history of anthropological thought, with particular experience in studying and writing about the work of the Italian ethnologist Ernesto de Martino.
