Birthplace: Brazil

I am currently a Project Coordinator at Biotropica Consultoria de Fauna e Flora. I hold a Master's and Ph.D. in Animal Biology from the São Paulo State University Julio de Mesquita FIlho/UNESP. I completed my postdoctoral research at the Federal University of Latin American Integration. In my position as a Project Coordinator, I am particularly involved in the development of environmental study work plans, coordination of multidisciplinary teams, supervision of environmental reports related to fauna studies such as rescue operations, inventories, monitoring, etc. I manage deadlines, define delivery schedules for products, validate and process field data, conduct statistical data analysis, and serve as the technical lead in herpetology and environmental education studies.Understanding how biodiversity responds to environmental changes and devising strategies for species conservation has always been at the core of my academic journey. During my Ph.D., I sought to assess how the climate changes during the last Pleistocene glaciation influenced current patterns of taxonomic, functional, and phylogenetic diversity in the three largest Brazilian biomes (Amazon, Cerrado, and Atlantic Forest). My postdoctoral research primarily involved analyzing large biological databases from various teams at Itaipu to understand how land use and micropollutants in water influenced the diversity of fish, zooplankton, and phytoplankton in water bodies in the Paraná River basin. In addition, in 2018, I served as one of the representatives of UNESP in the training program on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) for 2030.
