Science journalist. Doctoral student at the Department of Scientific and Technological Policy (DPCT) of the Geosciences Institute at the University of Campinas (IG-UNICAMP). With a B.A. in Journalism (UNI-BH, 2010), and a Masters in Science Communication (UNICAMP, 2015), I have experience in covering science and the environment for Brazilian and foreign publications. Among the media channels I collaborate with are the Nature (UK), Scientific American (USA), Eos (USA) and Science News (USA). Collaborator of the Astronomy & Society group at Leiden University, Netherlands, as Lead Science Writer for the Space Scoop portal (2021-2022). Vice-president of the Brazilian Network of Journalists and Science Communicators (RedeComCiência) in the 2021-2023 term, being part of the co-founders team and director for National Integration in the 2019-2021 term. In 2020, I was part of the group of 12 fellows selected worldwide to participate in the Climate Journalism Mentorship for Young Media Professionals, on the international channel Climate Tracker. Before, I coordinated the restructuring of the audiovisual production of the Giant Magellan Telescope Brazil Office (USP) as a Senior Fellow in Science Journalism. At the Museum of Tomorrow, I created and coordinated the Tomorrow in Research and Women in Science and Innovation programs, which, in partnership with the British Council, provided training in entrepreneurship for women scientists. I also led the Food for Tomorrow project, which provided the opportunity for exchange between colleagues from the Museum of Tomorrow and the Science Museum (UK). I work especially with themes related to astronomy, climate change, sustainability, environment and science policy and in the connection between science and gender and between science and human/social development. Among my topics of research interest is the relationship between communication, disinformation, public perception of science and the realm of information technologies. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
