Rafael has undergraduate degree in Forest Engineering at Federal University of São Carlos - campi of Sorocaba/SP (2012), and master's degree (2014) and doctorate (2019) in Forest Science Program at the Botucatu School of Agriculture at the São Paulo State University "Júlio de Mesquita Filho" (UNESP). He completed a post-doctorate for 2 years (2021-2023), with a FAPESP scholarship, at the National Institute for Space Research (INPE), within the Thematic Project NEXUS - Paths to sustainability, in the field of Ecohydrology. Currently, Rafael is doing another post-doctorate as a student of the Postgraduate Program in Forestry Engineering at the Federal University of Lavras (UFLA), at the EcoMaps Laboratory (Ecophysiology and Modeling Applied to Silviculture), in a project in partnership with the Institute of Forestry Research and Studies (IPEF) and the Forest Productivity Cooperative (FPC), in the USA. Rafael was a trainee at the Experimental Station of Forestry Sciences of Itatinga (ESALQ / USP) over a period of one year (2011-2012), carrying out research in forestry, ecophysiology and forest management. He also carried out a research internship (Doctoral Exchange Program) abroad (BEPE - FAPESP modality) at the Centre d'Ecologie Fonctionnelle et Evolutive (CEFE), in partnership with CIRAD - La Recherche Agronomique pour le développement (UMR EcoSols) in Montpellier, France, for 6 months.Rafael has experience in Forest Resources and Forest Engineering area, with emphasis in Forestry, Forest Management, Forest Nutrition, Forest Hidrology and Forest Ecophysiology. Rafael has already carried out works in Geoprocessing and Recovery of Degraded Areas fields. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
