Received the B.Sc. degree in electrical engineering with emphasis on telecommunications from the Passo Fundo University, Passo Fundo, Brazil, in 2012, and the M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from the University of Campinas, Campinas, Brazil, in 2014 and 2018, where he also worked as a postdoctoral researcher. Currently is a researcher at CPQD, working on the development and technical coordination of new technological paradigms to the transmission and processing of photonic signals. Most recently, his main research focus is on the optimization of high-capacity optical links, including the design of optical amplifiers for unrepeatered and wideband transmissions with artificial-intelligence-based techniques, the development of digital signal processing algorithms for the generation and reception of high symbol rate signals, and the specification and characterization of photonic devices.
