Gustavo Figueira de Paula

Bachelor in Materials Engineering, Master and Doctor in Materials Science and Engineering from the Federal University of São Carlos (UFSCar). Associate Professor C at the Faculty of Materials Engineering (FEMAT) of the Institute of Geosciences and Engineering (IGE) at Unifesspa in Marabá, PA. Previously served as Scientific Director of BRSensor Indústria Brasileira de Sensores Ltda and Industrial Manager of Aquanalyze Brasil Produtos Químicos Ltda. Coordinated the PIPE/FAPESP project "Virtual Coffee Roasting Tester." Acted as Vice (two years) and Director (four years) and Course Coordinator at FEMAT/IGE from 2018 to 2024. Expertise includes materials science and engineering with an emphasis on polymers, spectroscopy of food and materials, taste sensors, synthesis and application of nanostructured materials, and software engineering. Currently serves as the IGE representative on the Scientific Committee of Unifesspa; ad hoc reviewer for FAPESPA and qualified evaluator for the Centelha/PA Program; coordinator of the Multiuser Laboratory for Microanalysis in Materials at IGE/Unifesspa (LM3); representative of the Technical Team of the Multiuser Laboratory for Materials Manufacturing Processes at IGE/Unifesspa (LPMM); alternate coordinator of the FINEP agreement 0285/2022 and principal coordinator of the FINEP agreement 0732/2024, for the functional expansion of LM3/IGE.
