Lucieni de Oliveira Conterno is a physician graduated from the State University of Campinas (UNICAMP), an infectious disease specialist with a residency at the Hospital do Servidor Publico Estadual-SP; a Master's and PhD in Infectious and Parasitic Diseases from the Federal University of São Paulo (UNIFESP). She has a specialization in Tropical Medicine from USP-SP, Clinical Epidemiology from INCLEN (International Clinical Epidemiology Network), and training in Systematic Review from the Cochrane Collaboration of Barcelona, #8203;#8203;Spain. She completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Ottawa-Canada developing projects related to Healthcare-Associated Infections, Health Technology Assessment and Systematic Review. She has training in Trends in Medical Education from the University of Dundee, Scotland (EaD) and an internship at McMaster University (Canada) to learn about its Problem Based Learning program, participating in the implementation of this methodology at FAMEMA. She was the Coordinator of the Academic Evaluation Group at FAMEMA, and was a member of the Teaching Hospital Certification Committee (SGTES/MS), the Committee of Evaluators of Teaching Conditions for Undergraduate Medical Courses (MEC/INEP), the MEC Expert Committee on Medical Education and the Medical Residency Evaluation Committee. She is currently a professor at Unicamp in the discipline of Infectious Diseases, and a member of the Center for Research Evaluation in Health Education (NAPES) of the Center for Health Technology Assessment (NATS) at Hospital de Clínicas-Unicamp. She is a guest professor for the Master's Degree in Health Education and the Master's Degree in Applied Science for Medical Qualification at Unicamp. She is a member of the Accreditation Committee of SAEME (Medical School Accreditation System). Her areas of activity and interest are: Infectious Diseases, Healthcare-Associated Infections, Systematic Reviews, Evidence-Based Medicine, Health Technology Assessment, Patient Safety, and Medical Education.
