Biologist Bachelor graduated at University of São Paulo (USP), Doctor in Sciences by the Microbiology Department of the Biomedical Sciences Institute of University of São Paulo (USP), at the DNA Repair Laboratory, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Carlos Menck. Took an intership at Erasmus Medical Center (Rotterdam, Holland) as part of her PhD thesis, under the supervision of Prof. van der Horst (Ph.D) and Hoeijmakers (Ph.D). Has great experience on Biological Sciences, with enphasis on mutagenesis, DNA repair, DNA lesions, retrotransposition and tumorigenesis, working mostly with DNA repair pathways, DNA lesions, phololyases, viral vectors, carcinogenesis and retrotransposition control Licenced porfessor on Biological Sciences by USP, with experience on the education field, having been a Science teacher for 5th - 9th Fundamental Series; Biology, Chemestry and Physiscs teacher for High School and prep school and a private school teacher. Also participated in the development and aplication of the I Winter Course "Responses to DNA damage: implications in aging and cancer" approved by the University of São Paulo and ministered in July 2012. Has recently concluded a Postdoctoral fellowship at the Salk Institute for Biological Studies, at Prof. Fred H. Gage laboratory, developing a project which researched the correlation between retrotransposon mobility, DNA repair and carcinogenesis (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
