Douglas Chodi Masui

Graduation in Biological Sciences from the Faculdade de Filosofia Ciências e Letras de Ribeirão Preto Usp (1999), Master's degree in "Comparative Biology" from the Faculdade de Filosofia Ciências e Letras de Ribeirão Preto Usp (2002) and Ph.D. in "Chemistry" from the Faculdade de Filosofia Ciências e Letras de Ribeirão Preto Usp (2006). Participates in and develops projects with several research groups (Brazil and abroad), acting in several lines of research in Enzymology: studies the role of (Na, K)-ATPase of gill crustaceans in the process of osmoregulation.and collaborated in the research aimed at studying the interaction between enzymes and carbohydrates in Langmuir monolayers and Langmuir/Blodgett. Works in the research for the production, purification, immobilization, and biochemical characterization of enzymes from the filamentous fungi with potential application in industrial and/or bioanalytical processes: cellulases, xylanases, beta-glucosidases, and amylases.
