Tiago Rodrigues

PhD and Master's degree from the Graduate Program in Environmental Engineering Sciences at the São Carlos School of Engineering (EESC/USP), with funding from CAPES. Currently he is dedicated to the development of a post-doctoral project focused on the implementation of solutions for confronting the effects of climate change in cities. Member of the Center for Environmental Policy Studies (NEPA) at EESC-USP, where he has developed research in the area of Strategic Environmental Assessment. Dedicated to a multidisciplinary research on knowledge mediation, the role of environmental impact assessment in urban planning and measures to combat climate change, focusing on the context of climate-environmental planning in Berlin, Germany. City in which he carried out a research internship (sandwich internship) at the Tecnische Universität Berlin (TUB) at the Institut für Landschaftsarchitektur und UmweltplanungFachgebiet Umweltprüfung und Umweltplanung. This internship was funded by CAPES through the PDSE program - Program for Sandwich Doctorate Abroad, between the years 2018 and 2019. During the Master, conducted a research focused on applications of Strategic Environmental Assessment for urban development planning in EU countries. Notably in the observation of methodological and procedural aspects involving the formulation of the scope stage and the use of environment-based indicators. It also resulted in indications of potential contributions of this instrument in master plans. Acted as an intern in disciplines of environmental engineering graduation at EESC/USP, was an effective teacher of Geography for elementary school classes, in public and private schools in the State of São Paulo. Graduated in Geography (Bachelor and Bachelor Degree) from Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho - UNESP (2010). During undergraduate studies she conducted undergraduate research in the area of Urban Geography and Technological Innovations with funding from FAPESP. Has experience in the area of Environmental Policy Instruments, Environmental and Urban Planning, with interest in the following topics: Strategic Environmental Assessment, Environmental Assessment, Climate Change in Cities; Climate Change Policies, Master Plan, the mediation of knowledge and the interface between science and policy.
