Graduated in Chemistry from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (1992), master and PhD in Organic Chemistry from the Institute of Chemistry at the University of São Paulo - IQ-USP (1999 and 2003, respectively). Post-doctorate in Organic Physical Chemistry at IQ-UNICAMP. She is Associate Professor-3 at the Federal University of São Paulo - UNIFESP - Diadema campus. He coordinates the research group SNORG (S-Nitrosothiol Research Group) of the ICAQF (Institute of Environmental, Chemical, and Pharmaceutical Sciences). Its Research line is mainly aimed at obtaining bioactive compounds [derived from non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) and cysteine, in particular, S-nitrosothiols], with potential antitumor and / or protease inhibitor biological activity (HIV- 1-Protease is one of the targets). Has experience in the areas of Organic Chemistry, Medicinal Chemistry and Physical-Organic Chemistry, working on the following topics: planning and synthesis of organic compounds, conformational analysis and study of electronic interactions. She is the supervisor of the Graduate Program: Chemistry - Science and Technology of Sustainability (Diadema campus) and Molecular Biology -UNIFESP (São Paulo campus). (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
