"Associate Professor at the Department of Physical, Chemical, and Geological Oceanography of the Oceanographic Institute at the University of São Paulo. Specialized in geophysics, paleomagnetism, and magnetic properties with applications in the study of climate variations and global events. Participated in the IODP-325 Expeditions in the Great Barrier Reef - Australia in 2010, IODP-344 in Costa Rica in 2012, and IODP-359 in the Maldives in 2015. Also took part in the AMADEUS Oceanographic Expedition, investigating the response of Amazon sedimentation to deforestation, land use, and climate variability in 2012. Additionally, was involved in the Geological Drilling Expedition in Antarctica, ANDRILL-SMS, in 2007 and is a member of the IODP-CAPES-BRAZIL Scientific Committee. Graduated in Geology from the University degli Studi di Roma TRE in 2001, earned a Ph.D. in Geophysics from ALMA MATER STUDIORUM - Università di Bologna in 2005, and conducted post-doctoral research in Paleomagnetism at the University of California, Davis in 2008. Furthermore, serves as a member of the Editorial Board of Marine Geology (Elsevier) and is part of the Pool of Experts (PoE) for the United Nations' "Regular Process for Global Reporting and Assessment of the State of the Marine Environment." Research primarily focuses on the following topics: Magnetostratigraphy, Paleomagnetism, Paleoclimatology, Antarctica, Seismostratigraphy, and General Geophysics." (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
