Silvana Cristina dos Santos

Bachelor in Biological Sciences from the University of São Paulo (USP) (1993), Master in Sciences (Genetics) (1999) and PhD in Sciences (Genetics) (2003) from the University of São Paulo. Postdoctoral studies at the University of Cambridge, UK. Since 2008, she has been a faculty member at the State University of Paraíba, where she served as Coordinator of Higher Education with the Dean of Undergraduate Studies (2014-2016); Coordinator of the Graduate Program in Public Health (2016-2021) and Coordinator of the Professional Master in Family Health (PROFSAÚDE) (2022-2024). Research in health and education, focusing on the following topics: genetic diseases and consanguinity in northeastern Brazil; health, wellness and aging; health education and continuing education in health, teacher training, teaching of science and biology.
