Graduated in Social Sciences, has Master (1989) and PhD (1996) in Human Geography (Space organization) from Universidade Estadual Paulista - UNESP/Rio Claro. Work as supervisor of analysis and planning on the Department for Public Security of the State of São Paulo/Brazil. Since 2000, at UNESP University, is the researcher/professor leader with scholarship productivity in investigation of the group Urban Management and Organized Work on violence and safety. In 2006 become editor chief of the Journal Laboratory for the Study of Violence and Security also from UNESP. To the federal Government work as institutional appraiser of the National Higher Education Evaluation (Sinaes / INEP / MEC).Has experience in Teaching Geography and Demography with emphasis on Public Safety Policy and Population, acting on the following topics: crime, public safety, geography of crime, crime and public policies.
