Lina Rodrigues de Faria

Physiotherapist. MSc in Public Health from the Institute of Social Medicine of the State University of Rio de Janeiro, UERJ (1994). DSc in Public Health (Saúde Coletiva, in Portuguese), Institute of Social Medicine, UERJ (2003). Has experience in public health and at hospital intensive care units. Presently Associate Professor (Physiotherapy Department) at the Federal University of Juiz de Fora at Governador Valladares, State of Minas Gerais. She has done research on the history of public health, professions, and international cooperation in Brazil, with special emphasis on the role of the Rockefeller Foundation. In the field of Physiotherapy, her interests focus on Primary Health Care, Improved Patient Care, Teamwork and Multiprofessional Practice, and Professional Formation of Physiotherapists.
