Graduated in Biological Sciences - Medical Modality from the Federal University of São Paulo (1999), master's degree in Biological Sciences (Molecular Biology) from the Federal University of São Paulo (2002), PhD in Sciences from the Federal University of São Paulo (2006) with Postdoc by the Department of Biochemistry at the Federal University of São Paulo (2006 to 2007) and by the Institute of Life and Health Sciences at the University of Minho (2015 to 2016). Since 2008 he has been a professor at the Federal University of ABC in the area of #8203;#8203;biological sciences, accredited in the Bachelors of Biological Sciences, Chemistry and Biotechnology. Since 2010, he has been an accredited advisor professor in the graduate program in Biosystems at UFABC. Between June 2018 and February 2023, he was coordinator of the graduate program in Biosystems. He is an ordinary member of the Brazilian Society of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (SBBq). He is a scientific researcher in the area of #8203;#8203;Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, working on the purification and characterization of proteins, production and investigation of recombinant proteins; operates in the research of proteases and protease inhibitors. He develops a research project investigating the anti-inflammatory action of serine protease inhibitors in an animal model of pulmonary emphysema and in lung cells. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
