Ph.D. in Biological Sciences (Zoology) from the Graduate Program of the Institute of Biosciences at São Paulo State University (UNESP), Botucatu campus. Since the beginning of my career as a researcher, I have conducted research focused on the taxonomy and systematics of metazoan parasites of fishes. In 2012, I joined the Laboratory of Parasitology of Wild Animals (LAPAS) at UNESP-Botucatu as an undergraduate research student and remained there until the completion of my doctorate. In 2023, I undertook a one-year research internship abroad, in South Africa, where I studied parasitic copepods of African fishes as part of the Water Research Group (WRG) at North-West University, Potchefstroom campus. I am currently a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Hydrology at the Federal University of São Carlos (UFSCar), São Paulo State, Brazil. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
