Received the M.Eng. degree (2004) in electrical engineering (with specialisation in computing) and the M.Sc. degree (2007) in electrical engineering (artificial intelligence and robotics) from Centro Universitário da FEI, Brazil. Dr. Martins received the Ph.D. degree (2012) in intelligent robotics (human-centred robotics), under the supervision of Dr. Yiannis Demiris, from Imperial College London, U.K. From 2012 to 2014 he worked as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Centro Universitário da FEI, supported by the São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP). His primary research interests include robot learning from demonstration, (inverse) reinforcement learning, human-centred robotics, human-robot interaction and multi-robot systems.
