Biagio F. Giannetti holds a DSc and Master's degree from the University of São Paulo (USP). He began his career at Paulista University (UNIP) in 1992 as an Assistant Professor and currently holds the position of Full Professor. At UNIP, he coordinated undergraduate courses in Chemical and Food Engineering (1996-2000), and since 1998, he has served as a permanent faculty member in the Graduate Program in Production Engineering (Master's, Doctoral, and Post-Doctoral levels), in addition to leading the research activities of the Laboratory of Production and Environment (LaProMA).Since 2005, he has been a registered research group leader in the CNPq's Directory of Research Groups. Between 2016 and 2024, he was a Visiting Professor at Beijing Normal University (China), within the scope of the National High-Level Foreign Experts Recruitment Program. He also served as a Visiting Professor at the University of Sonora (Mexico, 2013 and 2019) and the University of Florence (Italy, 2022).Professor Giannetti has authored over 300 scientific publications, including books, articles, and international conference papers, with a focus on production and environment. His h-index on Scopus is 39, and his i10-index on Google Scholar is 127 (as of July 2025).He served as President of the International Society for the Advancement of Emergy Research (20232025). Currently, he is an Honorary Board Member and Associate Editor of the Journal of Cleaner Production, Associate Editor of Frontiers in Energy Research, as well as the Global Director and founder of the Advances in Cleaner Production Network.
