graduate on physics from Universidade Federal do Paraná (1987), performed his master's thesis on Physics at the Universidade Federal do Paraná (1990) and ph.d. in Physics from Universite de Paris VII - Universite Denis Diderot (1995). Has performed a pos-doc at the European Synchrotron Radiation Facility (ESRF) in Grenoble (1997). Has been part of the initial team of scientists collaborating with the construction of beamlines at the Brazilian National Synchrotron Light Laboratory (LNLS) in Campinas. Today has a tenure track position as associate professor of the Gleb Wataghin Physics Institute of UNICAMP. Has experience in Physic, focusing on X-ray Optics and Crystallography, advanced techniques of synchrotron radiation, magnetism, ultrafast x-ray diffraction and phase contrast imaging.
