Technician and later mechanical engineer at EESC-USP (https://eesc.usp.br/), began his career as a design manufacturing engineer and quality manager in the textile and auto parts industries. PhD from EESC-USP in metrology with post-doctorates at NPL (https://www.npl.co.uk/) and NIST (https://www.nist.gov/) on topics related to modeling, simulation, software and measurements. Two years as a guest researcher at EESC-USP and seventeen years as a teacher researcher at UNIMEP (http://unimep.edu.br/), working on undergrad and postgraduate courses (master and doctorate degrees) in the areas of metrology, statistical techniques for quality and research methods for engineering. Four years at the Vice-Chancellor office at UNIMEP as executive manager of research programs maintained by the university. Six years at IPT-SP (https://ipt.br/) as chief operation officer (COO) and leader of business units in the areas of metrology and bio-nano-manufacturing. Nine years as manager of technical portfolio at EMBRAPII (https://embrapii.org.br/), working with the supervision, evaluation and training of accredited research groups.
