Domingos Alves

Graduated in Physics from the State University of Campinas (1986), master's degree in physics from the State University of Campinas (1993), PhD in Physics from the University of São Paulo (1999), two post-doctoral degree from the University of São Paulo one by the Institute of physics of São Carlos (2000) and the Faculty of pharmaceutical Sciences of Ribeirão Preto (2001). He is currently associate professor in the Department of Social Medicine of Ribeirão Preto Medical School, USP. It also serves as Assistant Professor at the Center For Health Services Research and Techology (CINTESIS), Faculty of Medicine, University of Porto. It is a leader of the "Health Intelligence Laboratory" (LIS) registered and certified in the directory CNPq groups (http://dgp.cnpq.br/dgp/espelhogrupo/ 7944739360325525). It is also coordinator of the Management Department of Information and Computer NETWORK TB. Working mainly in the following areas:. Theoretical and Computational Modeling in Health Services Simulation in Health and Health Information Systems Particularly in my group algorithms are developed, methodologies and applications to produce computational tools and build support systems in regionalized health proactive capacity from the possibility of handling the database integrated in the same environment with the population characterizing data. It is important to note that all development is always thought to be working three important areas: (1) terminologies in health, (2) interoperability of health information systems, (3) audit and data quality.
