Bachelor's on Biological Sciences at Federal University of São Carlos - UFSCar (19931994), Master (1996) and PhD (2000) on Animal Genetics at Federal University of São Carlos - UFSCar. Also had a pos doctoral position (2000-2003) and a young research grant (2003-2006) at São Paulo State University - UNESP. Since 2006 is a full professor at the Department of Genetics at São Paulo State University - UNESP and at the Master and PhD Program on Biological Sciences (Genetics).
