Professor at São Paulo State University (UNESP), campus Presidente Prudente (1980-2019). Post-doctorate at the Université de Paris I Sorbonne-Panthéon (1994-1996). Accredited by the UNESP Post-graduation Program (score 7 CAPES). Full Professor (2007), retired from UNESP. Visiting Professor at the Federal University of Uberlândia, Campus do Pontal, Ituiutaba (2019-2021). Visiting Professor Universidad de Salamanca (1998), State University of Ceará (2014). Reasearch internships at the Universities Paris-Dauphine (2009), Lleida (2012) and Coimbra (2013). Member of the editorial board of numerous scientific journals in Brazil and abroad. Editor-in-chief of Revista Terra Livre (AGB, 2002-2004) and Formação on line (PPG in Geography of UNESP/FCT, 2017-2020). Coordinator of the Geography area at FAPESP (2013-2020). Coordinator of GAsPERR (Research Group on Space Production and Regional Redefinitions, 1993-2017). Coordinator of PNLD (National Program of Textbook of MEC, 2004-2012). Member of ReCiMe Researchers Network: Economic Geography and Political Economy, since 2018) and Mikripoli (Small Town Researchers Network, since 2020). Experience in the field of Geography, with an emphasis on Urban and Economic Geography, working mainly on the following themes: territory, industrialization, geography thinking, economic dynamics, space production and middle cities.
