Marco Aurélio Kondracki de Alcântara graduated in Agricultural Engineering from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul UFRGS (1986). He has a Master's degree in Soil Science also from UFRGS (1993), a PhD in Agricultural Engineering from the State University of Campinas FEAGRI-UNICAMP (1999) and a Post-Doctorate at the Center for Research and Development of Soils and Agro-Environmental Resources of the Agronomic Institute of Campinas IAC-CPDSRA (2002). Area of activity: soil pollution. He is a Professor at the Lorena School of Engineering of the University of São Paulo EEL-USP, where he teaches courses in Soils, Basic Ecology and Recover of Degraded Areas.
