Graduated in Technological Chemistry from São Paulo State University - UNESP (1995), Master in Physics from Aeronautical Institute of Technology (1998), PhD in Aeronautical and Mechanical Engineering from Aeronautical Institute of Technology (2002), post-doctorates from Aeronautics and Space Institute (2005), from Composite Institute (Institut für Verbundwerkstoffe Gmbh), Kaiserslautern, Germany (2010) and from Leibniz Institute of Polymer Research Dresden, Germany (2011). He is currently Full Professor at São Paulo State University - UNESPo, collaborating researcher at the Aerospace Technical Center - Institute of Aeronautics and Space - Materials Division, and collaborating researcher at the Composite Institute (Institut für Verbundwerkstoffe Gmbh), Kaiserslautern, Germany, from the Leibniz Institute of Polymer Research Dresden, Germany and the University of California at San Diego, USA. He has experience in Aerospace Engineering, with an emphasis on Advanced Composites, Polymeric Materials and Glassy Carbon, acting mainly on the following themes: polymeric composites, rheology and thermal analysis of composites and polymers, hybrid composites, nanostructured composites, composite processing and evaluation of environmental effect in advanced structural composites. Author of the book "Structural Composites - Technology and Practice" (2011). Currently, he has been acting as a reviewer for several scientific journals. He was Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at UNESP (2016 - 2020) and is currently Director of the Institute for Advanced Studies in the Sea (IEAMar). (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
