Odila Cioffi holds a Bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering from the Lorena School of Engineering (EEL/USP, 1992), a Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering from São Paulo State University Júlio de Mesquita Filho (UNESP, 1996), and a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the same institution, in cooperation with the University of Naples Federico II (2001). She is currently a Full Professor at UNESP, Guaratinguetá campus. Between 2021 and 2024, she served as an advisor to the Office of the Provost for Undergraduate Education at UNESP. As of 2025, she has held the position of Coordinator of the Graduate Program in Engineering at UNESP, Guaratinguetá campus.Her academic and scientific experience is focused on the fields of Materials Engineering, with emphasis on the development of composites for aeronautical applications and natural composites for secondary applications. Her main research topics include RTM processing, fatigue behavior, ultrasonic C-scan characterization, as well as studies on stress relaxation and creep. In 2020, she completed a visiting professorship at the Center for Composite Materials at the University of Delaware (CCM/UDEL), where she conducted research on microencapsulated self-healing materials applied to composites.s.
