Alexandre Gori Maia is specialist in applied econometrics and development economics. His research focuses on the evaluation of the better strategies of economic development that simultaneously bring social and environmental sustainability in the developing world. He holds an PhD diploma in Applied Economics from University of Campinas (UNICAMP) in 2007, M.S. in Development Economics from UNICAMP in 2003, and B.S. in Statistics from UNICAMP in 1996. He is Full Professor at UNICAMP, where he heads the Department of Economic Theory, coordinated the Center for Agricultural and Environmental Economics (2013-16) and the post-graduation course in Agricultural and Environmental Economics (2016-17).
