Degree in Medicine from the Faculty of Medical Sciences of Santa Casa de São Paulo (1991), residency and specialization in internal medicine at Hospital das Clínicas, Faculty of Medicine, USP. Doctoral degree in Immunology from Tufts University in Boston-Massachusetts, and Post-Doctorate at the Department of Rheumatology - Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center - Harvard Medical School, Boston/Massachusetts. Back in Brazil, established the immunomodulation laboratory at the Faculty of Medical Sciences of Santa Casa de São Paulo, subsequently accepting the position of Innovation Director of the SalomãoZoppi Diagnósticos Laboratory, where, as the person responsible for the company's innovation policy, he created products for patenting and established national and international academic and / or commercial collaborations and partnerships, among those, the SalomãoZoppi Diagnósticos/Universidade Anhembi-Morumbi partnership that established a joint research center focused on the life sciences. After the end of the partnership, accepted an appointment as coordinator of the experimental research laboratory at Hospital Alemão Oswaldo Cruz - São Paulo / SP, working to develop and implement basic, clinical and translational science projects with the clinical staff. My main interest is cellular immunology, specifically the impact of CD4 + T lymphocyte modulation in immunopathogenesis. Other interests are molecular diagnosis based on fecal DNA and, more recently, the development of an experimental thermodynamic platform for measuring the vitality of an organism and identifying prognostic biomarkers, new methods for cancer prevention and the use of artificial intelligence in diagnosis of lung diseases. In clinical practice, I serve patients in the areas of internal medicine with an emphasis on immune disorders. In education, I have always been active as an educator at the undergraduate and graduate level, acting as an instructor at Tufts University School of medicine, professor at the Faculty of Medical Sciences of Santa Casa and Universidade Anhembi-Morumbi where I created original methods such as the "clinical reasoning workshop ", the scientific methodology and the "understanding the materials and methods section ?courses to increase the proficiency and clinical deductive skills of students. Founding partner of the Brazilian Institute of Advanced Medical and Scientific Education, whose objective is the promotion of scientific thinking and methodology in the life sciences, mainly medicine.
